Graham NumberThe Graham Number is a formula developed by Benjamin Graham, the founder of value investing. Lynch Fair Value (PEG)Lynch fair value comes from Peter Lynch's idea that a company's reasonable price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio should roughly equal its earnings growth rate — in other words, a PEG ratio of 1. DCF (Discounted Cash Flow)Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) estimates a company's intrinsic value by projecting its future cash flows and converting them to today's value using a discount rate. Margin of SafetyMargin of safety is the gap between a stock's estimated intrinsic value and its market price. P/E Ratio (Price-to-Earnings)The price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio compares a stock's price to its earnings per share. P/B Ratio (Price-to-Book)The price-to-book (P/B) ratio compares a stock's market price to its book value — the net value of the company's assets on its balance sheet. EV/EBITDAEV/EBITDA compares a company's enterprise value (market cap plus debt, minus cash) to its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation. ROE (Return on Equity)Return on equity (ROE) measures how much profit a company generates for each unit of shareholders' equity. ROA (Return on Assets)Return on assets (ROA) measures how much profit a company generates from each unit of its total assets. ROIC (Return on Invested Capital)Return on invested capital (ROIC) measures how much after-tax operating profit a company earns relative to all the capital invested in the business — both equity and debt. Net Profit MarginNet profit margin is the share of revenue a company keeps as profit after all costs — operating expenses, interest, taxes and one-offs. Current RatioThe current ratio measures a company's short-term liquidity — its ability to cover obligations due within a year using assets that can be turned into cash within a year. Free Cash Flow (FCF)Free cash flow (FCF) is the cash a company generates from operations after paying for the investments needed to maintain and grow its asset base (capital expenditures). Altman Z-ScoreThe Altman Z-Score is a scoring system developed by finance professor Edward Altman in 1968 that measures a company's bankruptcy (financial distress) risk. Piotroski F-ScoreThe Piotroski F-Score, developed by accounting professor Joseph Piotroski, scores a company's financial strength from 0 to 9 across nine separate criteria. RSI (Relative Strength Index)The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is a momentum indicator that measures the speed and size of recent price changes on a scale of 0 to 100. BetaBeta measures how much a stock tends to move relative to the overall market.
